Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical Magnifica Humanitas is being put into practice around the world.

Indonesia. From 6 to 11 October 2026, twenty-two communication students from five Catholic universities of the Association of Catholic Higher Education Institutions (APTIK) gathered in Yogyakarta for an AI Bootcamp and National Competition under the theme “Magnifica Humanitas”. They worked through 14 learning modules, met street vendors, tourists and artists in the Tugu area, and built AI prototypes in answer to real community needs. (Vatican News)

Europe. At their autumn Plenary Assembly in Brussels (14–16 October 2026), on the theme “Magnifica humanitas: Europe, Human Dignity and the Common Good”, the bishops of the European Union (COMECE) heard their Youth Net on artificial intelligence and adopted a declaration calling for AI to remain “at the service of the human person, the common good and peace”. インドネシア：2026年10月6日〜11日、カトリック高等教育機関協会（APTIK）に属する五つのカトリック大学から、コミュニケーション専攻の学生22名がジョグジャカルタに集まり、「Magnifica Humanitas」をテーマにAIブートキャンプと全国コンペティションが行われました。14の学習モジュールに取り組み、トゥグ地区で露天商や観光客、芸術家の声を聞き、地域の必要に応えるAIの試作品をつくりました。（バチカン・ニュース）

ヨーロッパ：欧州連合司教協議会委員会（COMECE）は、ブリュッセルでの秋の総会（2026年10月14日〜16日、テーマ「Magnifica humanitas：ヨーロッパ、人間の尊厳、共通善」）で、青年ネットワークからAIについての意見を聞き、AIが「人間、共通善、平和に仕えるもの」であり続けるよう求める宣言を採択しました。（COMECE）
