Kakimori Kazutoshi, Representative of Akogi Hidden Christians’ Village (Akogi Kakure Kirishitan no Sato) on Narushima Island in the Goto Islands, Nagasaki, is the latest person to accept our invitation to speak at Evangelii Summit Japan 2026 (ESJ-8). With him, the Summit now has 13 confirmed speakers.
He was born on Narushima into a family of Hidden Christian (Kakure Kirishitan) descent; his maternal grandfather served as a mizukata, the minister who baptised in the community. After a career as a Nagasaki City official working in cultural heritage preservation, he returned to Narushima. In 2008 he founded Akogi Hidden Christians’ Village to preserve, study and share the faith culture of the Hidden Christians. He has collected historical documents and devotional objects, revived the Osazuke (baptism) practice, restored the Akogi Old Path pilgrimage route and opened a seaside museum. As secretary-general of the movement behind it, he played a key role in the 2018 UNESCO World Heritage registration of the “Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region.” He continues to promote pilgrimages, cultural landscapes and the handing-on of the Hidden Christian heritage, working with figures such as Fr Renzo De Luca and Fr Toshiaki Koso.
At the Summit, Kakimori-san will speak on the living heritage of the Hidden Christians, the restoration of pilgrimage paths, and the passing on of the faith through family and community on Narushima.

長崎県五島列島・奈留島の「阿古木隠れキリシタンの里」代表、柿森和年様が、エヴァンジェリー・サミット・ジャパン 2026（ESJ-8）での講演のご依頼を新たにお引き受けくださいました。柿森様を加え、講演者は13名となりました。
柿森様は奈留島で隠れキリシタンの末裔の家系に生まれ、母方のお祖父様は洗礼を授ける「水方」を務められました。長崎市職員として文化財保護に携わった後、故郷の奈留島に戻られ、2008年に「阿古木隠れキリシタンの里」を設立されました。古文書や信心用具の収集、浜辺の資料館の開設、「お授け」の復活、阿古木古道（巡礼の道）の整備などに取り組まれ、「長崎の教会群を世界遺産にする会」の事務局長として、2018年の「長崎と天草地方の潜伏キリシタン関連遺産」の世界遺産登録に大きく貢献されました。現在も巡礼の道の復活や文化的景観の保全、次世代への信仰の継承に取り組み、デ・ルカ・レンゾ神父、高祖敏明神父らとともに、隠れキリシタンの里と巡礼の推進に関わっておられます。
サミットでは、隠れキリシタンの生きた遺産、巡礼の道の復活、そして奈留島における家族と共同体を通した信仰の継承についてお話しいただきます。
